ABS 14 Open (Adult) Nationals Final Results

We are extremely proud to share that both Coach Garrett Gregor and Elite Team Athlete Megan Mascarenas earned 4th place finishes at ABS 14 Open Nationals! This means Garrett and Megan are both on the US National Team!!!

Men

Men’s 4 – the only semi Garrett didn’t finish, but he was close!

ABS 14 Open (Adult) Nationals 2013 Quali Results

Several Team ABC coaches, athletes, and friends competed in the qualifying round of ABS 14 Adult Open Nationals in Colorado Springs yesterday. We are proud to say that Megan Mascarenas, Garrett Gregor, Michael O’Rourke, and Rob D’Anastasio will be advancing to Semifinals today. Matt Lubar gave a good run, ending up in a heartbreaking 21st place, making him first out of Semis. Next year Matt!

We are also excited to watch our friends Daniel Woods, Paul Robinson, Josh Levin, Sierra Blair-Coyle, Matty Hong, and all the other great athletes who will be competing today!

Coach Obe says…

This workshop is a fun way to get your climbing back on track with two of the best coaches in the country.

Over the course of four hours we will be covering everything from technique, route reading and sequencing, climbing strategies, strength training tips, attitude, awareness, mental conditioning and competition preparation.

This will be a group clinic, but aimed to meet individual climbers needs.

We will use video playback to give each climber a great opportunity to see themselves climb. After evaluating each climber’s strengths and weaknesses we will share personalized tips and training ideas.

Team ABC at The Spot Gladiator Finals!

Team ABC put in a great showing at The Spot Bouldering Series Gladiator Final last weekend. Over 30 ABC kids competed in the youth and adult sessions, and 5 qualified to compete in the open final! Matt Lubar actually qualified for the men’s open final as well, but he tweaked a muscle a bit during the redpoint round and he decided to rest up for upcoming nationals, so he opted out. In his place Remi Arata was the 8th man to compete in Open Finals. For the women, Megan Mascarenas qualified in first overall, Margo Hayes qualified in 4th, Isabelle Goodacre qualified in 5th, and Laurel Todd qualified tied for 7th with The Spot’s Tika Anderson. Page Kuepper and several other photographers were on hand to take photos of the event, so head over to The Spot’s facebook page to check them out if you haven’t already.
